Scholarship Information

The SWANA Mid-Atlantic Chapter is a believer in supporting the higher education goals of today's youth. The Chapter offers college scholarships to eligible students working toward undergraduate or graduate college degrees. In addition, the Chapter will submit the application of the most-qualified, eligible candidate for the Grant H. Flint Scholarship Awards Program administered by SWANA International.

Deadline to apply for the scholarships is May 1, 2012.

* Tanya Maude Adams received the highest score by the Chapter Evaluation Committee and she received a $2,000 scholarship provided by Office Paper Systems (OPS) under its Kevin Stearman Memorial Scholarship Program. The Chapter and Office Paper Systems presented the award checks to the winners on June 16, 2011 at the MRN/SWANA Annual Conference.

This year, Tanya was the only recipient of a Grant H. Flint Scholarship Award in Category II (SWANA's International Scholarship Committee) in the amount of $5,000. Congratulations, we wish all recipients the best in their academic pursuits.
